How to Scan

Frame the hours and minutes column inside the camera viewfinder, keep the phone parallel to the page, then tap Capture & Analyse.

Manual Crop

If the automatic crop is not correct, use Manual mode and place the crop corners on the outside edges of the logbook table.

Correcting Values

After analysis, compare the cropped photo with the recreated table. Tap any cell to edit the detected hours or minutes and update the total.

Recognition Tips

Use clear lighting, avoid strong shadows, and keep the column centered. If a handwritten entry is unclear, correct the cell manually before using the total.

Cloud AI and Local AI

Use the Cloud AI / Local AI selector to choose how pages are read. Local AI runs entirely on your iPhone — free, unlimited and offline. For especially difficult handwriting, switch to Cloud AI, which reads the page with a cloud model for higher accuracy; the captured page is sent to Google's Gemini service only to read it. Cloud AI includes some free scans, with optional packs available in the app.

Voice and Keypad Entry

Swipe sideways for the manual table. Tap Dictate and say your times — for example "1 hour 35" — or tap Write and type whole times in one field, where the last two digits are the minutes ("135" becomes 1h 35m). Totals update in real time.

Backup

Rotate your iPhone to landscape to open Backup. Photograph any logbook page to keep a full-quality copy in your own private iCloud, browse and zoom your saved pages, and export them as a PDF. Backups are stored only in your iCloud and are accessible only to you.
